 | 03:05 pm - Yes, me again! First things first: if you want to know your Mastermind score, but don't want to add up the answers for yourself or ask to have your score in the comments section of one of the previous posts (which a lot of people are doing), email me at beth-h at mrks dot org and I'll send you your score. I just didn't want to send 56 unsolicited emails this afternoon.
***************
So. 56 respondents (including a couple of people who answered only one or the other, but not both sets of questions).
Whose bright idea was it that I should give myself 56 looooooooong exams to grade in the middle of the semester?
Oh. Right. It was mine.
***************** The Answer Awards!
*The top three "Everyone knows this!" awards go to: "What is the only way to permanently kill an immortal from "Highlander?"; "Who gets killed in every episode of "South Park?"; and "Clark Kent comes from which town?" (Plus the Harry Potter question, of course, but that was a 'gimme')
*The "Close, but no cigar" award goes to: "What's the address of the home Sherlock Holmes shares with Watson?"
*The top three "You've got to be joking!" awards go to: "In what district did Sam Seaborn run for congress?"; "What are Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin's badge numbers?" and "What does Frank leave for Tim in his desk as an apology?" (No, the sparkly questions didn't even come close...and believe me, they were answered correctly by a lot of non-sparkly fans)
*The "What are they teaching these kids in school today?" award goes to: "What are the names of the Earth's oceans?" If "Southern" is good enough for Wikipedia, it's good enough for me!
*The "Ph3ar my mAd pedantry skillZ!!" awards go to: "What human-made structure can be seen from outer space?"; "When did Columbus land in America?"; and "Who found/explored/uncovered Mycenae and Troy?" (I got at least a half-dozen scholarly discourses about each of these questions. *g*)
******************
Also? At the start of GoF, Harry gets four birthday cakes (from Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and Sirius). Sirius baked Harry a cake? Awwwwwww!

Comments:
Sirius baked Harry a cake?
I have a feeling it's more, Sirius stole Harry a cake.
Otoh, someone should write a fic where he breaks into someone's house so he can bake a birthday cake for Harry.
Alternately, where he visits Remus in a panic because he doesn't know *how* to bake a birthday cake for Harry, and there's baking and then sex...
Um, yeah. Someone should write that.

yes! yes, that. you should definitely write that one.
I'm with fox! If you write it, I will come...er...read it.
Also, The top three "You've got to be joking!" awards go to: "In what district did Sam Seaborn run for congress?"; [...] and "What does Frank leave for Tim in his desk as an apology?"
Those were two of the questions I actually knew the answers to. There were too many I didn't, though, so I didn't play.
California 47th and a grilled cheese sandwich, man. The quote on this icon comes from that episode, I believe. Justice Part 2. Bruce Campbell guest stars.
I'll just go away now.
Heh. I knew the California 47th (I'm not even in the fandom, but it *is* an episode title)
Sam and Will didn't eat grilled cheese sandwiches in that ep, did they?
Sam and Will didn't eat grilled cheese sandwiches in that ep, did they?
Bwah.
I doubt it, but I suppose it's a possibility. *g*
What would you have given me if I had answered California 49th?
Sirius baked Harry a cake? Awwwwwww!
Can I second that "awwww"? :-D
*sigh*
Is it june 4 yet?
Dude. We seriously need to have an outing to go see the movie. Right?
RIGHT?
and I didn't do the quiz, because I was feeling super dumb. and I saw the answers which confirmed that, yep! I'm super dumb :-D
I'm up for a PoA outing! Because, y'know...I suspect I'm going to see it more than once. :)
(And dumb? We laugh at dumb! Oh. That's why you didn't want to answer. *g*)
Wheee! I keep seeing the things posted about the IMAX screening in NYC, and am SO TEMPTED. *drool*
hush, you! :-p
I want to see my test. I couldn't have blown 25 questions. Ok, I could have...but man....I want partial credit!
I demand a makeup!
"We're sorry. All test papers have been shredded and sold to a pinata factory. Please call again if there's anything else we can help you with."
You leave me with no choice. After snogging J, I will beat you like a pinata.
beeeeeeeeeeethhhhhhhhhhhh, amuuuuuuuuuuuse meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I'm boooooooooooooored
I'd like to hear more funny purposefully wrong answers, myself. *g*

Sigh. People didn't know 221B Baker Street? For shame.
::says the woman who made a pilgrimage there when she went to London, too many years ago to count::
However, they did know 22B. And 21B. And 221. And 2B. *g* |
